Oh my lord, the wash of nostalgia that this post was for me. I loved the Alice series (Alice and Patrick 4Life!) and The Clique series had me in a chokehold.

There is an outstanding (and now inactive) podcast called Girls Like Us featuring two friends that reread the entirety of The Clique and talk about its impact on them as kids (along with other misc kid literature) - it was my favorite COVID-era listen, and I highly recommend checking it out even though they aren't publishing anymore!

I’ve listened to a lot of Girls Like Us! Such a fun blast from the past, and it is really fun to re-contextualize a book series that ran my middle school years. - LM

I’m so happy to hear that!! I haven’t met anyone that listened to it, what a treat. My friend won a copy of the first Clique book from their podcast by winning YA March Madness they ran 😂

The nostalgia! This is so so good — maybe we need a preteen favorites book club?
